Promoting Risk Management through Education and Networking

"Yee-ha"
The LONE STAR STATE cordially invites you to join us in the Heart of Texas for the 2012 STRIMA educational conference and business meeting
September 16-20, 2012.
Come together with your peers and colleagues at the rustic Hyatt Lost Pines Resort nestled in the rolling hills just 20 miles from the center of Austin, Texas, for a one-of-a-kind educational opportunity for State Risk Managers.
The STRIMA Executive Committee is planning the 2012 educational agenda to address today’s challenges with an eye toward tomorrow’s solutions, and as always the centerpiece of our conference will feature the State’s Roundtable focusing on the challenges and successes of fellow State Risk Management Professionals like yourself.
After a hard day, put your boots on and join us for a little of our famous Texas Hospitality. The Hyatt Lost Pines Resort offers guests a truly Texas experience redolent with the rich heritage of the Texas Hill Country, and featuring the history, art, and architecture of the Texas prairies, and the beautiful Colorado River valley. We are proud of our heritage and excited to offer you delicious meals with menu selections that showcase the diverse culinary traditions of Texas. From spicy Mexican Dishes, thick juicy cuts of beef, German inspired home cooking, and world class BBQ you are sure to find something to please your palate.
We hope that while you are here you will let us show off a little of our home and join us for an evening excursion to Austin. Austin is the state capitol of Texas, the site of the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Museum and Library, the live music capitol of the world, and a summer home to 1.5 million bats that take flight nightly during summer months from underneath the Ann Richards Congress Avenue Bridge. (Just to name a few of our local distinctions) Centrally located in the Heart of Texas, Austin is the gateway to the Texas Hill Country that boasts near on 30 wineries, the town of Luckenbach of country music fame, the German community of Fredericksburg, and President Lyndon B. Johnson's boyhood ranch.
Turning south we will visit our neighbors in San Antonio, Texas home of that defining symbol of Texas spirit, The Alamo. Located about 80 miles south of Austin, San Antonio displays the rich cultural heritage of Mexico and Spain in its architecture, history and cuisine while blending modern cosmopolitan elements. We will offer an opportunity to stroll the Famous San Antonio Riverwalk, Market Square, the Alamo, and perhaps visit some of the many attractions that the city has to offer.
So mark your calendar, polish your boots, and make plans to join us as we host the 2012 STRIMA Conference, September 16-20, 2012 in Austin, Texas.
